Navigating the christmas season through a holistic lens: part 3 - soul
Christmas is around the corner and it's all slowly coming together - last gifts to buy and wrap, Christmas tree to decorate, last pierogies to put together. This pre-Christmas newsletter series is also coming together with the last part today. For the past two days we've covered body, mind and the remaining component is soul.
And that's what we'll talk about today - how to nourish your SOUL.
I invite you to let yourself reflect on the happiest moments this year.
What were they about?
Where were you?
What were you doing?
Who was there with you? How did you FEEL?
Let those memories fill you up with gratitude with what was to be more receptive and open to what IS.
In the spirit of sharing, here are some of my cherished moments from this year that are usually associated with full immersion in the present, this deep sense of freedom and joy; spaciousness, being surrounded by nature and people who are dear to me, and when I completely lose sense of time. This feeling brings me back to my trip to Thailand in January, road trips in Taiwan during spring months, mountain treks in Poland, hot summer travels in Italy, and cold plunges in frozen lakes in recent weeks.
They instantly put a smile on my face, and I hope your memories do the same to you :)
Main question for today:
How do you want to remember this Christmas season? How do you want to feel?
Fast forward five years, when you look back at Christmas 2023, what do you want to remember?
Focus on the feeling and bring it with you into this special time.
When we intentionally step into events, moments, and gatherings, knowing what we want to take out of them, how we want to feel and how we want others to feel in our presence, things get simpler in a way. Clearly defined intentions help set the tone for the entire season and help keep you on track.
Bonus questions:
How can you create a more meaningful connection with your loved ones?
How can you feel more joy these days?
What is your priority this Christmas?
And don't forget to share with your loved ones what you truly appreciate in them. True complement opens hearts like nothing else.
Hope it helps you create more clarity around this season, be more present and enjoy your time however you spend it this year.
Wishing you a joyous Christmas filled with warmth, love, and laughter! May this festive season bring you precious moments with family and friends, and may the spirit of Christmas fill your heart with peace and happiness.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
